Home Courses

Dynamics of structures is studied during one term at the 4th course, 5 academic hours per week (3 - for lectures and 2 - for exersises and laboratories). The goals of the course are:

  1. To provide an ability of structure or construction dynamical model creation for stress analysis.
  2. To provide a knowledge of the dynamical problems solution main methods and corresponding normative documents.
  3. To develop a skill of solving dynamics of structures problems using modern software.
  4. To develop a skill of the results obtained trustworthines and accuracy estimating.
  5. To provide a knowledge of designing structures and constructions in seismically active regions or under dynamical loads principles.

The program of the course includes:

  1. Introduction. Kinds of vibrations and dynamical loads. Dynamical models for stress condition analysis.
  2. Structures eigen frequences and modes computation.
  3. Analysis of structures under dynamical loads of different kind.
  4. Analysis of structures under seismical loads. Construction in seismically active regions.
